Alrightyyyy so for all you pin porn fans out there.. brf/verm cakes fruiting, and the first minute of fruiting for a minicasing.
I dont know if there are image limits, but these are hosted on my own space so... 56kers beware...

CAKE NUMBER 1

CAKE NUMBER 2

MINI-CASING Just put in to fruit as is, no patching. Crumbled brf/verm cake cased with 60/40 verm/coir

GAHH! Thumbnail those man. It's like.. I click into the thread and the pictures are so big i'm looking at the individual coir fibers and vermiculite particles.
Pretty nice pinset and clusterfuck on that first one though. Good job.

did i put my casing in the FC too soon? i was afraid of overlay from the coir so i made sure to do it right when it poked through. and im not gonna worry about patching this one, its kind of a test run with left over substrate that i had from g2g transfers

You probably could've waited one more day to fruit it. But it'll be fine.

Ahh.. 91% might be a bit high for that casing. Try to fan it a bit and maybe drop the RH a few notches.

Cropping: Relative Humidity: 85-92%. (For cakes: 95-100% ) Air Temperature: 74-78 ?F. CO2 : less than 5000 ppm. Fresh Air Exchanges: 1 -3 per hour. (For practical purposes, fanning a terrarium 2-3 times a day is sufficient) Flushing Pattern: Every 5-8 days. Harvest Stage: When the cap becomes convex and soon after the partial veil ruptures. Light: Indirect natural or same as above.
How low.. 85%?
Its just cause I've read about people keepin martha's at like a constant 90% and having no troubles so I dunno
Ill lower it though, I trust experience over stats any day

Well that's why I said maybe. You're right, it'll fruit in 91%, but as you can see that's on the high end of the spectrum. I was just saying it'd probably be beneficial to get closer to that midrange around 88% or so, plus there's always the added bonus of FAE when you're fanning. Not really crucial at all, but just to slightly closer to "optimal"

I just removed the foil and there is a yellowish stain.. its really hard to tell if its on the inside or outside since it is really skinny see through plastic. but i dont recall seeing it before. do casings still pee(secrete metabolytes) or is this the beginning of a bacterial contamination..
