Anyone heard this?
I checked it out from the library, and some moron had written all over the CD saying...things too stupid to repeat. Basically they thought the songs were too slow.
Anyways, I usually limit myself to the old "GO" or "ALONE" type songs. You know, The fast early 'Rave' stuff (such as 'GO' and 'Feeling so Real'etc), and the slow endless 'Trippy' stuff (such as 'Alone' and "God Moving over the Face of the Waters'etc)
Anyways, I was disappointed when I heard some of his early ventures into rock and pop... ...but I liked Hotel (or was it Motel?) I though he may have finally started making decent singable pop songs.

Moby gave a talk at my school, so my friends and I got really high and went to see it. We got in for free as we know people who were working there. He was talking with a film composer, I think the guy that did the music for run lola run, although Im not sure. Moby is a fool I will say. He is so full of himself, at some point he was explaining the symbolism behind a new song of his, meanwhile cue my friends and I laughing in the back. His new album, whatever it is called, was just so absurdly horrible. He played something with a middle eastern chant in it or something akin to that, then tried to claim the song somehow commented on Americas foreign policy. Basically the show consisted of him up there with his dick in his hand stroking it over and over again, until at the end he came all over the audience in the form of his shitty song. I enjoyed hearing from the composer, although hes a born german, and he was saying America has a problem with nationalism, unlike where hes from....luckily someone else in the audience yelled out something about the nazi's to show how absurd his comment was. But at least the man can create interesting music, Moby is really bland and unoriginal, basically fuck the man.

"Basically the show consisted of him up there with his dick in his hand ..." *L* That sucks. I hat e when I like a musicians work, like Moby's, and the artist themselves turn out to be assholes. That's a subject in and of itself, to listen or not to listen when the artist's personality is ugly.
"fuck the man" = "fuck the man's creations"?

I also dont like his music. Including his early stuff. I mean Im also not a big fan of rave/dance techno so take that as you will. I do like electronica though, like Autechre and similar artists.
