The meaning of life is to just live your life.
-------------------- --------The Truth------ The Buddha showed that there is suffering in the world. He explained the cause of this suffering. He taught that this suffering could be ended. Finally, he showed the way leading to the end of suffering.

well our basic insticts are to survive. everything we do relates back to survival. so technically.... but now think about why do we find it so important to survive? what are we surviving for?

everybody has a different meaning. there is not one true meaning.
i think the meaning of my life is to be born, love, teach, live, learn, explore, and then to die off and start it all over again...

i think you're exactly right. it's a never ending cycle of experience. you know how people say, i wish i was bill gates, or brad pitt, or the president...i think eventually you will be all these people and experience the life as if that person never existed in the first place. you will be the richest person in the world someday. if it's not in this life, it will be another.
you're also going to have to go through a multitude of shitty lives. that kind of bothers me, but i guess there is no sense worrying about the inevitable.

But why live your life? why survive? The meaning of life is it has no meaning. Life is no journey, life is music, dance with it.

The meaning of life is simply existence itself. The existence of intelligent life serves as a wildcard for 'our' meaning or some collective meaning itself. That is, what we make of it.
Simply: The meaning of conscious and intelligent life is the existence of meaning itself.

i dont like the phrase the meaning of life, i think that it implies a definite creator, one which has human characteristics. if there is a creator, it is certainly far superior than us. however, if we are simply conscious energy, then I believe the 'meaning of life' is to work towards understanding the absolute truths of all the universe, either individually or collectively, since we are all one.

I do not understand your reasoning that results in an implication of a creator with human characteristics.
To state that life has meaning includes no mention of or allusion to a creator, regardless of its characteristics. It certainly implies the creation of meaning itself, which means that some conscious being is forming representations of reality. It does not follow that a conceptual meaning of life is evidence of a definite creator that is responsible for life itself.
I personally do not see evidence of any inherent meaning or value in life itself.
 Peace.

agreed, and/or its atleast saying that humankind has given itself a path to follow which all other humans should also follow.

We shall follow our own path. Everyone follows their own path, regardless of conscious awareness of doing so or of what that path may be.
In actuality, we do not follow our path, our path follows us. Our path is relative to our constant being in the here and now and and the changes in our interaction with and our being within it. The concept of a path, perhaps, is too linear to represent the reality of the matter?
 Peace.

The meaning to life is to live the moment. The present moment is all that ever exists. There is no future, the future is only the present moment at a later time. So enjoy this moment, Then enjoy this one, then this one. It is about yourself, what you want to do in the moment. Have every moment be a individual moment. Then you should help others make this realization. The more people that are at peace and respect everyone else because of this realization the better life will be.

= ZARATHUD'S ENLIGHTENMENT =
Before he became a hermit, Zarathud was a young Priest, and took great delight in making fools of his opponents in front of his followers.
One day Zarathud took his students to a pleasant pasture and there he confronted The Sacred Chao while She was contentedly grazing.
"Tell me, you dumb beast." demanded the Priest in his commanding voice, "why don't you do something worthwhile. What is your Purpose in Life, anyway?"
Munching the tasty grass, The Sacred Chao replied "MU".
Upon hearing this, absolutely nobody was enlightened. Primarily because nobody could understand Chinese.

The meaning of life is whatever you take it to be. Any point can be argued, because there is no definitive answer.
The view could be taken that we are just physical matter, in a vast universe. If one takes this view, the world is meerly a place to experience things. If I were to take this view, I would be happy that I was fortunate enough to have a conscienceness and not be a meerly an animal. Id assume some would take this view and be hedonistic, and others would take it and have a life goal/work to make meaning of it all.
Others can take the view that there is somthing more than just 'life' and actions here and now mean more than just their initial consequences. If right, their life is justified at the end. If wrong, well... I guess they are SOL and might have misued their 'life'
I'm not for or against either one, or possibly other ideas. After all, the question is more of a life long question than anything. No answer is right, it is more of an evolving question, to me atleast...

There is no meaning. Just watch The Monty Python's "The Meaning of Life" and that should explain it all. There is not "real" point to it, we are just so damn lucky to have it because life is awesome! Remember this everytime you have sex or laugh your ass off.
