Just checking before I case for the first time..

I am about to case my first double tub tek, and I want to get some shroomery opinions before I do it.
Here is my tek

Here is my colonized substrate

Does it look ready for casing? I'm also worried that it looks a little dry. Is misting a double tub tek recommeneded? Here are the only spots moisture appears in the tub

1. Is it ready for casing? 2. Should I mist?
Thanks guys =D

what kind of casing layer are you going to use and how thick do you plan to put it on?

I plan on using the 50/50 pete/verm tek for casing. My substrate is only 1.5-2 inches in depth (I know that's very small!) so I think I'll do 1/8th or 1/4 inch casing.

That substrate does not look fully colonized. I see quite a few brown areas where mycelium hasn't even reached. I strongly recommend allowing the incubation to continue. You are not ready to case yet.
I also do not recommend misting the substrate, as you will disturb the environment. If the substrate looks slightly dry and there is minimal condensation on the tub sides, you may, as a last resort, open the tub after spraying down a room with Lysol and mist the side walls of the tub. I do not recommend misting the substrate directly.
Other than that the grow looks like it's coming along nicely.

What are you talking about Room4Shroom? He hasn't cased yet. My recommendation to continue incubating is so the mycelium can further colonize the substrate. His substrate does appear to have some slight overlay, hence my suggestion not to directly mist. Misting a colonizing substrate that has some overlay will only do more harm than good.
Phantim7, I would take a good look at the substrate and see how much you actually have colonized. How long has it been? If you find that your substrate has stalled, consider lowering the temperatures for a few days if they are in the upper 70s. I find that bulk substrates incubate best at temps between 72-74 degrees.
If it has been more than 10 days, I have found that there may either be an issue with the spawn ratio or a possible contaminate. I guess I need a little more information before I can make any solid recommendations.

*sigh* Wronguy: Well, I jumped the gun. After those 2 posts saying go ahead, I did case it. But in the interest of education, let's pretend I didn't case it.
Here is some more specific info on the substrate. The ratio of spawn to hpoo was pretty high. I used this thread to learn a little about ratios.
The substrate colonized at a moderatly fast, consistant rate for about 5-7 days. Its been about 10-13 days now and colonization has begun to stall. There doen't appear to be any contamination and everything looks healthy.
This is the first time I've heard anyone talk about overlay on their substrate. Everytime I hear about overlay, it's been in reference to their casing layer. My understanding is that overlay is a bad thing, but I would think that it would be expected in the substrate layer. I just want to be sure I understand you =D.
The temperature has been consistant, but I have no way to measure it at this time. The temp I was trying for was 86 degrees.
Here are my 3 questions for you now:
1. Given the high spawn ratio, what would you have recommended to further colonize the substrate after the 10+ day mark before I 'accidently' cased it?
2. Now that the substrate has been cased, is there any recommendations for a sparsly colonized substrate?
3. Overlay - Bad in casing, but expected in substarte? - Yes/no?
