Second time at it what spores to buy?
    #5276601 - 02/08/06 09:04 AM (17 years, 11 months ago)

I grew about two years ago with decent success. I chose the mozatapic (check spelling) strain and was pleased with the results. Now I am looking for some real good spores, that yield high, and grow easy. I remember a lot a talk of golden teacher from back in the day how good of a choice would this be? thanks for the help peace out.

golden teacher is what i would call a classic strain. you only hear about it being grow every so often. it seems to me like everyone and their brother is cultivating b+ so try to stay away from that one please. i would suggest cambodian, brazillian, south american, texas, or koha samui super strain.

mainly every strain is the same with the exception of very minor features such as the white margins, color, or colonization times.

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR NEXT GROW!!!

FAQ's said:
Which spore strain should I order?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is a question that keeps coming up, but can never be really answered. It is one of the truly subjective questions in the hobby, on which *everyone* will have their own answers.

There are no "bad" strains, and generally each strain is similar in growing parameters and production than any other. Some people prefer pointy capped fruit, which can be found in the Ecuador, Plantasia Mystery, South American, and others. Some prefer strains that colonize and fruit in warmer climates - such as Cambodians and A strain. Some prefer petite fruit (that doesn't necessarily mean less weight per flush than others though!) - such as Mexi-cubs and some Mexican strains. Others prefer very vigorous colonizers - such as the Puerto Ricans (which also have the *fame* of being a quite potent cubensis). But is there one magic strain that will give you lots and lots of really super potent mushrooms in a quick amount of time? No, there's not, plain and simple. Some strains may be judged subjectively by others to be more potent than others, and some strains may be judged to be bigger and produce a heavier weight.
But comparing cubensis to cubensis generally, there is not a "super strain" which should be chosen for any particular reason over another.

There is no consensus as to "the" strain to grow, and you won't find one. Some people like redheads, while some prefer brunettes. It's just that subjective.

Those FAQ's come in handy times like these...

ha ha I knew that this could be answered quick in regards to superior genius of the community vs my ability to search out the information among hundreds of wise FAQs. I am thankful that you pointed it out as I should have already known.

I just read about LEO. the whole overgrow.com site is seized by canadian govt. Kinda weirded out Cuz I use to post over there every once in a while.

these sponsors are 100% legal and 100% solid. all their products are of the highest quality and they have extremely great customer service.
