Well, Burma is just another Cubensis strain so it should work.
As for your bulk grow question, spawning to straw should work. You just have to crumble your BRF substrate and mix it with the straw and case it. Some kind of grain should probably work better, as there will be more inoculation points. Just case your crumbled 100% colonized with some 50% peat moss and 50% vermiculite. Add some PH buffer. But why don't you make your own substrate? And pint jars will take a long time colonize. Much longer than ? pint jars... I bought my premade substrate jars when I first started because I had no PC or usable jars. Now you "know" that the jars is sterile.
Hopefully.
Good luck.

which should produce better and flush better, BRF and verm. cakes? Or just organic long grain brown rice cakes? not necesarily for BURMA since you said its just another strain. i want to see if i can case maybe both styles, whichever works better. also i used 2 cups of purina puppy chow to make broth and used that when i cooked my rice for water, i guess its supposed to help it flush more and longer, worth a try...

Well I do freshly BRF with vermiculite. PF tek style. Then crumble the cakes when they are 100% colonized. Case with 50/50 casing.
Haven't tried any bulk style yet, so far I have more shrooms then I could eat...
You have to mix you BRF with verm. You say you cook your rice? What tek are you using?
