First Grow!

Hi everyone.
Im on my first grow using PF TEK jar method - I inoculated on the 3rd of this month (5days ago), and have had some mycelium growth which I am very pleased with. (See Picture)

However there only seems to be growth at the isolated points shown in the picture, i.e none of the other inoculation sites appear to have germinated properly. Is this a problem/will it extend the time taken for full colonization?
Also, from what you can see there, given its taken 5days to get that far, any ideas how long till full colonization? they're kept at an optimal growth temperature in an incubator.
Lastly, just want to say thanks to everyone at the shroomery for helping me get this far! Couldnt have done it without you!

The 3-5 day mark takes a bit of time because of germination. things will progress a bit faster now. But in general it can be a hard ? to answer. I've noticed rhizomorphic myce. will rip through millet, and BRF much faster. Your prolly looking at 2 weeks tops. Good luck

thanks for the input guys, one question, what is rhizomorphic mycelium? is it just a more stringy, faster growing type of mycelium? does 'non-rhizomorphic' mycelium have a name?
thanks so much!!

the non-rhizo myc. is referred to as cottony, or tomentose. you are correct in your assumptions. good luck!

Rhizomorphic (strandy), and tomentose (cottony) are the 2 major classes acording to P.Stamets. Pinning mycelium seems to favor that of rizomorphic growth.

expect about 14 days to full colonization. Give or take a few days on that, but in my experience, ive never got a brf jar to colonize quicker then 2 weeks.
