tiny mushrooms? help!
    #527369 -

my wombat has a tray of rye grain cased (50/50 plus) tc's. he had to cut the cased tray basically in half about 2-3 days after a massive pin-set becasue of the green monster. The 1/2 that was saved is still uncontaminated and continued to grow but it has been about 5 days now and the largest shrooms are maybe 2 inches tall and that is only about 4 shrooms of the 80-100+ pins that are aprox 1/2 inch and the 4 large ones have already opened their veils. should the wombat just pick the open ones now and wait to see if any of the pins continue to grow or should he pick them all and wait for the next flush? could cutting the tray in half make the shrooms so small or where there just too many pins to begin with? or something else all together? any help or experiences with this is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

anyone? please? wombat wants needs to know if he should pick all the pins or not so that he can try to get the next flush to grow like normal mushies. are there any growth paramaters that would cause such stunted growth other than a thin substrate layer? Also the original casing was only about 2-3cm thick as suggested by the rye grain tek on mush mush's web site. wombat has since learned to make it thicker but does anyone have any ideas about this or am i the only clown on here who has ever grown tiny shrooms.

I say pick them all and hope for a next flush. With the casing cut in half, and 80-100+ pins, it sounds like all the nutrients were zapped up, and only 4 could get enough to grow further.
