How open are you?

I am a very closed person. I don't tell anyone that I work with my rec. drug interests. I tell very few people that are in my classes. I tell even fewer people about my relationships or gender preference status. Sometimes I want to tell people I think might be down, but I don't want any of my professors to know. These will be the people helping me get into grad school and such. I guess I just wonder how many people have had good/bad experiences with this. Also if you all tell people your preferences and habits.

I generally am very closed about my feelings. I don't know why. Ever since I rolled a few weeks ago I really have opened up. I am not saying go and do MDMA but there is hope you just need to find the way.

IMO, loose lips sink ships.... i try to be friendly, but I sure don't talk about drugs unless the person I'm talking to is obviously already stoned... even then I try to not incriminate myself. I have the same problem, I have to look good for grad school and can't risk being blackballed for rec. drugs...

I dont think that i feal any emotion other than "pissed" sometimes maby love. I think that if its sexual preferance that your talking about then that shit should be alright with any one. I mean I seen those fuck nuts saying "fags go to hell" or what ever today at those iraq war guy that died funneral. That shit is stupid. Gays and lezbieans should have equal rights as any of the other stupid poeple who still belive in love. But if thats not what your talking about and its just drugs. well drugs should be legal too. I mean america would have been found way later if it wasnt for uk drug dealers looking for asian poppies. Drugs founded america and should be legal it is part of history.

I think that drugs made me who I am. I would be some totaly differant if it wasnt for the use drugs. Probly some uptight investment banker or something high strung like that. I don't think that it is more shamefull to deny a drug than it is to be open out it. Not too open but never to the point where the people that you shared your life with didn't know.

On the internet I am very open. Sometimes annoyingly so.
But in person I am very much NOT open. It makes it very hard too find hookups because I look like a clean-cut, straightedge person. If I were to walk up to a dealer looking for something, he'd think I was a cop.

That is a lot like how I am. There is probably only like one or two people that I really feel comfortable talking to face to face, but over the internet it is much more comfortable feeling.

That is a huge part of it for me as well. If I want good recomendations for these things, I think it's best to not ask, and not tell. (as far as the drugs go)

I just want to add an anecdote.
I once thought I had secured a source for enough LSD to sell some to people I knew would want to have some (big drought in my area, still is). I approached someone I knew was into psychedellics and was talking to him about it, and his friend (whom I had known since middle school) responded in a way similiar to "whoa there jesus boy, you're selling fucking acid?!"

By hiding it you make it a secret -- you make it deviant behavior. I don't suggets telling anyone, but if it comes up, non-chalance should be maintained. Secrets are a sign of weakness and are followed by vicious retaliation.

Well I think you just explained why it's no big thing to you, it's easy.
But in instances where it's difficult it becomes an artificially big deal due to how hard it is. It makes good sense, really.

"loose lips sink ships" is a relic from the war period, when blabbing your big fat mouth could actually result in your ship being torpedoed.
It stuck around because it could be interpreted in a more general sense, but it's a metaphor that is noticeably limited to the specific purpose for which it was intended.

God, I have to try really hard not to go into an argument about that. For some reason, any drug myth anyone has heard is TRUE. And there is no explaining the correct idea to them
this kid at work was trying to tell me how his buddy made ergot and that it was basically just "natural LSD." I told him, hah, that's just a dangerous ass mold. he wouldn't have it. I'm pretty sure he didn't think I'd know what ergot was. it is most definitely not good to trip on.
then he told me his other buddy made 12oz of 'pot butter' with a POUND of weed - and that, before he had even finished eating his first brownie, he was toasted. I just nodded and laughed. eating marijuana does not hit you in less than 5 minutes.
anyways, about my openness - I find that talking about drugs with strangers is no big deal at all, and I'm often the least paranoid of my friends. I've never been in trouble with the law for smoking pot. I just moved to seattle, and the cops out here are quite aware that pot-heads are not that dangerous.
I've sat down on a bus out here and had a nice discussion with a fellow who was coming up on acid - we talked of lots of things, like hoffman's birthday, etc.. and no one said a word to us. the guy even openly admitted he was on LSD to me.
about things besides drugs, I'm usually pretty secretive. I don't like to blab about nothing, such as a 20 minute story about how your day is going. stuff like that will annoy me, and I will usually become even more quiet. it takes some thick people to have problems reading me.

Funny you say that...
I was just at a close friend's house and he had a friend over I didn't know and we got on the topic of mushrooms. He insisted that food poisoning was the reason you trip.
My buddy looked at me becuase he knows I'm all about cultivation and learning the life cycle, etc. I explained it's a chemical that reacts with the way your brain processes information...a kind of filter. But nope.."it's food poisoning!"
No matter how much you try to explain fact, people's opinions, fears, and myths won't let them see the truth.

Humanity didn't evolve from apes, they just lost a lot of their hair. Most of them are still equally as stupid.
God damned moronic knuckle-walkers.

it's really a shame when you have to try & correct people like that. because usually they heard their information from someone that they really trusted; and for them to be wrong is just too much.
food poisoning my ass. that doesn't even make sense. that would immediately effect your digestive system. it would not, however, have anything to do with your mind - which it's quite obvious psilocybin does.

Cancer is symbolized by the Crab. You're deeply emotional and intuitive, and your top concern is family. Something of a homebody, you prefer to stay in rather than go out on the town. You can be moody, drawing into your protective shell if things get too intense around you.
