Need Help Port Forwarding My Mac
    #5275169 - 02/07/06 08:54 PM (17 years, 11 months ago)

Hey! You guys have helped me in the best (muchos gracias) and I am again in need of assistance. I just discovered the joys of Bit Torrent, but I can't figure out the firewall situation, and it's interfering with my dl/ul speeds. I am running Mac Os 10.3.9 through a DSL connection. I was using Bit Torrent, but am trying Azureus hoping for better luck. Everything just keeps saying I have NAT problems. Anyone able to help?

open your browser, go to 192.168.1.1 and see if that works

if you're using a router, that is usually the page with the router settings

I forwarded my ports the other day, and am so upset that I hadn't done it before. The difference is astounding.

http://www.portforward.com/

that site is very helpful

Wow, I did it thanks y'all. I had been to my router page after following directions on portforward.com, and had no luck, but this time I went into "expert mode". Which I am not, so I was scared I would fuck my connection up. But I found what I needed and should be set. Thanks for the responses, guys. Oh wow, this is awesome.
