multispore / clone - which one will perform better in different environment

now, here is some thoughts ive just gone though.
if one were to give a friend a casing to fruit, i wonder if it would actually be better to pass a multispore casing or one started from a clone.
the reason i am thinking about is this:
whenever i fruit a clone, i try to come as close to the original environment the original mushroom was in as i can, as that will guarantee me that the clone can unleash its full potential and guarantee me certain results.
when using a clone in a different environment, say different temperatures, lighting, air exchange, you do not provide its original habitat anymore and therefor cannot be sure of it behaving exactly like you want it to.
anyhow, when using a multispore started casing, you do not nail down certain cahracteristiks and therefor it should be a better choice if u were to decide to make a casing for a friend for example.
what are your thoughts on this?
as obviously this is confusing people here is the question re-phrased:
if you are to give a casing to someone, would you personally think he/she would get better results with a clone or with a multispore inoculated casing peace ohm

The only way the clone will be better than the multispore is if it has better genitics than the myc that would be maid by the spores. Plus live cultures always grow faster than spores. Even if you clone a mushroom from the myc the musrhooms that is made by that myc will still have differant dna. The only differacnes that I can see that with cloned myc tissue you have a live culture that will grow faster than spores.

Well either way if you were to give one to a freind then they would both act a totaly differant way any ways becouse they are grown by him not you. the only way to dublicate something the right way is to do it your self. It seems that the differance would be little but if the genetics of the clone were good then it should be able to unleash better potential than spores could as the myc it slef is older. I read in the past that older myc makes more potant shrooms. Sorry I dont know your answer as I belive he will see little differance esspicly sence he hasnt worked with the strain that was cloned.

I feel the opposite way about old mycelium. i find after several clones the mycelium loses energy ymmv

well You should only clone a few times i hear. I didnt mean like 5-6th generation clone. but more like 1-3 should be fine i would think although I never really studied that much in cloneing. But the frist few clones should still be rather good.

I think you had the right idea on your first post. IME, all the fruits from a cloned casing either excell in growth, or don't do shit. All the fruits will exhibit the same growth patterns, so if this "friend" doesn't give them optimum conditions (or at least the same conditions you provided), there is very little chance that ANY of the carpophores will do much. That wouldn't be much of a gift. IMO, multispore would be the way to go in THIS instance, since some of the sub-strains could handle the fluctuation in conditions better than others. Might not be a picture perfect flush, but at least something is better than nothing. If he had a decent fruit or two, then he could try his hand at cloning that, and it might grow great since it will probably be grown in close to the same conditions as he gave the original crop.

I would also agree that multi. spore would be better in this situation. Funny thing....I have such little pataince(sp?) when it comes to most things in life. However after being in this hobby for a number of years, I can wait forever for mushrooms

It shouldnt make a differance. Myc is myc and will grow any where it can.

How different is the environmnet? With cubensis it would have to be REALLY different for the clone to suffer.
Same substrate and relatively similar conditions, GO WITH THE CLONE ALWAYS.
