I can't find any damp be gone where I live. I went to Colour your World and Wal-mart. Neither knew what it was. So what would be the next best (and cheap!) way to dry them? I know heat = bad, but just letting them sit in the open air couldn't be too good for them, could it? How about ona place, one a heater, getting a tad heat? I don't want to use any heat, but I don't want my mushrooms to go away! thanks mark

Try a hardware store.....like Home Depot....Tru Value....etc. If you still can find it....try epsom salt from the grocery or drug store. And you can alway try using an electric fan.

If you have a place in your home where the humidity is 20% or less, you can just lay them out on some newspaper and they'll be nice and crisp in 2-3 days. If you live in a cold climate, opening a window will bring the humidity down drastically.

Go to a craft store. Get some silica gel flower drying crystals. Brand names will vary by location. They're reusable and work better than epsom salt.

What one person receives without working for another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for that my dear friend is the beginning of the end of any nation.
