Most people mist with a 10% solution of the 3% peroxide. Use this as a baseline. Since you are putting peroxide in the perlite and not on the fungus, you can increase the concentration some.
So for a half inch of water, put in 1/20 to 1/10 inch of peroxide.

wow talk about fast responses!
ok i will use the 'glug'x3 method.
im preparing my fc pretty much about a week ahead of time since my cakes are about 99% colonized plus the 1 to 4 wait period to induce pinning...
this is good right?

Up to 5 days for pinning, although cakes usually set fast. Decrease this time by cold shocking. Increase the pinset by double-casing with vermiculite. Good luck.

Sounds great man. You've been doing your homework. I always add a little HYDROGEN peroxide to my perlite from time to time since the H2O2 breaks down over time. You're on your way, GL.

In some cases I have waited 2 weeks for pins, dont get impatient if you havnt seen and pins for 5 days.

I read somewhere on here that H2O2 stunts the growth? Is there any truth to that

Healthy mycelium produces enzymes that break down H2O2, but it can slow growth until the myc recovers. In this instance, this is not the case. We are merely discussing adding Hyd. Peroxide to the perlite layer to prevent contams from growing, not spraying our cakes/casings.

yes. H2O2 is an anti fungus (anti anything for that matter) and at too large a dose will kill ANYTHING!
