what do you think about using a reptile fogger for humidity. it would be a lot of humidity ... a constnat mist basically. do you think it would be too much if it was on the same level as the shrooms? would it be best to put over slanted plexi-glass so it resembles a constant spray
havnt grown yet - getting spores very soon

use it on a tmer to up humidity. use something else like a fan or cool mist impeller for air exchange. the fogger can be placed inside the impeller's resevoir, and the cool mist run 24/7 and the fogger on a timer.

I've heard of people using them. How much are they? You don't want to get something too expensive when you can make do with something a lot cheaper. It should work fine though. Running it 24/7 would be way too much humidity, but it could very easily just be put on a timer.

indeed jaycecp...my red tail just found a new home bc of school constraints...cant really handle him as much as i wanted/thought a reptile should be. Anyways....ive had a lot of experience with the foggers....and they burn at quickly in my experience, but ive also heard of people having great success with them. first one burned out within 3 days of purchase, second one within a week, so i said fuck that. i actually just bought a timer, im using a digital one from wally world, and it works great. ive also used the cheaper ones with the pins on it, that you push in for on and out for off, those worked fines too. if you are gonna run a few things through your timer, id recommend buying one of the heavy duty ones, they have the extra socket for a breaker, and safety is always of top concern, atleast IMO. theres my .02....good luck.

its the same thing that is inside ultrasonic humidifiers. I think that this would be a pain in the ass to work with. the only way I can think of to use this with little trubble is to get a bucket that has a lid. Cut a hole in the lid. Get a hose to come out of the lid. Mount a computer fan on the inside of the lid. then you would have a home made ultra sonic umidifier. That way you wouldnt have to put a bowl or something in side your grow chamber.

i got an ultrasonic humidifier. it puts out WAY too much water. i just basically wasted the money since i can jsut use perlite and it should be about the right humidity.
i also have a collection of snakes, but theyre pretty domesticated, so they dont need rolling mist to keep them.

man nothing is a waste if you use it right. Save that baby for when you have time and space to build a martha, think of it as a long term investment.

My friend uses a TropicAire Humidifier found at petco or online just google it. There cheap and simple to use, It also doubles as a fresh air exchanger sinc the air passes through the water. He obtains 95% humidity at 80 Degrees using 3 small heating pads under the tank.He uses some perlite and fish tank air wands also on the bottom of the tank
