Mixing Cakes colonized from different Prints (diff vendor same strain)?

If I have a couple cakes colonized with EQ that came from a Print I made myself from a grow that came from a syringe from vendor X and I have a couple cakes colonized with EQ that grew from spores that came from a syringe from vendor Y is it ok when I make casings (crumble+case tek) to mix the cakes colonized from one source and the cakes colonized from another one... will they merge or compete? I think with 2 different strains that doesn't work unless they are crossed properly (like mixing eq and cambodian or so).. but I'm asking about mixing the same strain from diff vendors... what are the chances that they are genetically already to different to grow together?

If they are truly the same strain, the myc will all mate and you'll be fine. There are some vendors out there that will sell spores under the wrong name.

If they are the same, then FooMan is right...you'll be fine. If they're different, chances are that one strain will be more dominant and will overcome the other - I've never had this happen to me fortunately, so I don't really know how well this fares for the casing...I'm guessing it isn't too good for it, but I'm not positive.

I was reading somewhere that no two substrains are alike, that goes for myc.
It can be spores from the same print you put in diffrent syringes but it still wont be idenical to the next, I beleive the more dominent strain will win (even though there the both strains) try and and find out.

Unless you're using a clone or isolated myc from an agar plate, it's all "substrains" because of the millions of spores used. They should still mate if they're the same strain. If it were two different strains, they would each compete for the nutrients available and the outcome will vary.
