OK for some reason I'm getting the smallest mushrooms i get em about 1 1/2 inch tall skinnier than a pencil for the stem width and cap is about the size of a dime.
Conditions. Fae automatic every 3 hours the humidifier kicks in for about an hour (the humidifier is the kind with the comb that makes a mist) humidity before pins about 93% when the small ass pins formed dropped to about 84% Temps are between 70-75 lows are in the night highs are in the day. substrate is poo from Tenn stud 4 1/2 inches depth ( in 12 quart dish pans aluminum foil on the sides to block out light. Light is normal light bulb that is on for 12 hours a day then dark for 12 hours. Spawn is Wbs pennington without birdkote colonized 110% before mixed with poo.
Can anyone guess wtf could be the problem ? Oh strain is penis envy but it was miss labled so i dunno what the strain is looks alot like teachers imo

Odd, sounds like all of your shizzle-dizzle is in good order.
Might be low moisture level in casing material, or substrate.
Suggest you bump Rh back up to 90+.

Sometimes if you have a lot of colonized WBS on top the sub. Then, don't incubate long enough that all the sub is 110% colonized. The top fruits small like that. Second flush should/could do better.

I'm having the same problems with my PE strain! I have mine set up in a closed environment with a mini HEPA filter/fan that blows for a half hour ever 1 1/2 hours (with an ultrasonic humidifier that kicks in around the same time to keep it moist) and have the trays sitting on top of course pearlite?..on paper it?s THE ideal setup. *everything Mr. Stamets asks for. But my treasure coast strain wont fruit at all and my Penis Envy strain pins prolifically! HOWEVER the damn mushrooms never get any bigger then 2? or so before their veil breaks and they stop growing. Amongst the 200 pins that form on the surface only 25 seem to grow at all. *side note: i'm using Pro Mix BX (thats peat with a ph of 6.4 or so pre mixed with: mycorrhizal, vermiculite, and pearlite.) i thought the mycorrhizal would benifit the growth somehow
Anyone got any suggestions for a better type of cubensis to grow?
