ok i got some pins that have reddish brown cap like my fully mature ones and i have some with a brownish black cap.....these with the brownisah black arte aborts right ? thanx

They might be abhorts but it sounds like all you have right now are pins, I would wait a few more days to be sure which are which. Those darker caps may just get lighter as the shroom gets bigger.

i hear ya thx for the info but no i have picked 2 mature mushrooms biggest 5 inchs when i bend the stem straight...but yeah thx ill wait ive heard when the caps started darkening that i should pick um...atleast what i read wehen i searched for aborts before i posted i couldent get a diffent answer

Aborts turn black....they stop growing.

Well all Ive gotten so far is aborts but even after they turn black and I can tell they are aborts they still grow a little bit bigger. Wait untill growth stops even if you know they are aborts. I mean why not get the biggest results possible?

It sound like the larger shrooms are dropping spores on the smaller ones causing them to turn black.
You said the smaller ones were still somewhat normal right?
