i got some poo and i been leaching it, but what is the brown doody water that is draining away? isnt that nutrient water that would be good for my mushies? if it is, then why am i throwing it away?

the mushrooms don't want the shit that you are leaching out. they use the good stuff that does not wash away.

You're leaching the piss(ammonia) out. You can't really leach it too much. The best poo you can find is dried out nuggets in a field that has probably been rain washed about a hundred times. As long as it smells "earthy" like dirt and not like piss, the poo should be OK.

Dirt, ammonia from urine, bugs, among other things. Trust me when I tell you that leaching is beneficial and needed.

the poo smelled awesome at first, like dirt and grain. then i started soaking and it smelled BAD.

thing is i see a lot of brown juice coming out and all thats left is just straw... so it seems like the poo is almost gone i guess...
