Hi. I was just wondering could any one help. I got some wet horse poo(about 20lb's) around 4 months ago. I didnt leech it and just kept it in a plastic bag. would this still be ok to leech and use or would the amonia and bacteria have lessened the amount of nutrients which make the shrooms potent??

Just toss it outside on a tarp and let the weather do it's work. It'll get aged and leeched, then can be pasteurized and will work perfectly fine. I doubt it'll effect potency in the slightest. And the pasteurization should take care of any bacterial growth that had occured while it was in the bag.
However, if you're concerned about a loss in potency, you can hydrate the poo with some bloodmeal water before pasteurizing. Or perhaps add some worm castings.

It hasnt changed much but kinda has gone from being real nuggety to just a few nuggets and more like soil. it smell's ok not like when i was shovelling it, that was horrible, and theres no visible contam or any bugs etc in it just very wet.

I'd advise spreading it on a tarp rather than the bare ground.. Spreading it out on the bare ground will result in the poo melting into the ground, making collection a bitch.

so basically i should treat it as if its just fresh poo , one week old? the 4months of sitting in a bag wont have changed it at all?

Are there any wooded areas around you? I just lay my poo out on a brown tarp in a random place in the woods. Or maybe the rooftop? depending on what kind of building you live in of course.

well if theres no where to put it out then leeching it for 24 hours is enough ... if you really want to be sure just repeat it after 24 hours..
I'm not sure tho if poo is just as good after 4 months of it being wet in a bag as it would be if you leeched it and dried it straight away

by leaving it in a plastic bag, you are essentially allowing the digestion process to continue. You want it to be allowed to air out.

To leach is to essentially rinse out thouroughly with water. The best method of leaching is to use a pillow case, fill it up with poo, the stick a water hose in the top, then tie the pillow case opening tight around teh water hose. Put the full pillow case where you have some flowers that need some amonia ferterlizer and turn the water hose on and let it run for a few minutes. When the water turns from rusty brown to more clear, you're good to go. Then remove the water hose, and twist the pillow case down to ring the water out. Then, you still have to spread the stuff out and let it air dry. I guess you could do it in the oven, but it may smell. Then you have to pasturize it. Which you can do this in the oven after it air dries or before. As long as it is at field capacity. Some pasturize with water. It's up to you. I find that when it is air dried, you can fill up a tray, spray it down with a spray bottle to desired water content, the put some foil over it and bake it in the oven.

leeching is soaking it in water for 24hours and then draining it .. it removes the ammonia (aka horse piss) ... laying it on tarp does the same thing but does it a bit better
and fraggin does this mean the poo has been digested a bit more then fresh so wont be as good for the shrooms or will it be only a tiny amount that wont be noticable in the potency?

I think that the only affected when poo is kept in unbreatheable bags is that the consitencey becomes less like poo and more like compost soil. I read an article on an experiment that was done with putting kitchen wastes, lawn clippings, mulch and manure in a black plastic bag and leaving it out in the sun for four weeks during the summer. Essentially when the bag was emptied, it was the consistencey and smell of cow manure. Apparently the bacteria, and the heat from the sun, and the moisture content all mimiced the inside of a stomach....
