Yes, they are reusable. I've used mine over 100 times.

Oh, wow! It might be worth it to order a pack.
Do you inoculate through them, or no?

$1 a disc + shipping? I'll stick with good 'ole Tyvek. It may not be reusable, but it's sure as hell replaceable. What I don't get is, why don't they sell it in packs of a dozen? Jars don't come in packs of 10. It's the same thing with the plastic jar lids for Ball jars. They only come in packs of 8 or more, so you'd need to buy 2 of those for 12 jars and have extras.

They are quite expensive. I bought mine awhile ago and got some from a friend. I haven't used mine in a long time though.
As far as the quantity is concerned, they must be in cahoots with the hot dog and hot dog bun companies.

I got 100 Tyvek envelopes mailed to my door for free from the post office website. You can make a couple dozen filters with each envelope.

Those disks may be a little expensive, but they are really handy. You can use them over and over. In fact you can actually just jam the spore needle thru them and leave the little hole. No problems.
If you do get them, you may want to buy plastic jar lids too. The metal lids rust and make the disks look crappy. They still work fine, but if you are A.R. about things it might bug you.
If you figure what you spend on them and what you get out of it, sometimes you need to spend money to get a good return.

I don't doubt that the filters do work well, but I've never had a problem with Tyvek. I'm cheap and I still get a good return on my free filters.
