Is 60 F too cold to fruit? I know 80 is good and 70 is ok. i think ive done 60 before but cant remember for sure. It doesnt get any warmer here, very poor insulation. the incub temp is a nice 80 F. anyone have a friend who does 60F? please reassure me.

for fruiting, 80 is too warm. 70-75 is optimal, 60 is too cold. it also depends on the type of mush you are growing. i'm guessing p.c.

I don' have any first hand experience, as I have yet to grow shrooms(I'm on my 3rd attempt, damn contaims)
But I have been learning about this past time for the last 6 months at least, and my answer to your question is..
Yes, they will grow, but it will in most probability be slow growing, perhaps so slow that it would take months?
If I were you I would make the extra effort to find some form of heating.
Hope that helped.

Buy a 50watt aquarium heater, stick it in a jar full of watter and crank it all the way up. If its still not warm enough, pull the temp dial off and crank it even more. Play around with this method and youll be laughing. You might need 2, and you might also need to insulate your chamber, as long as you have the temp at 70-75.
I have a room thats 58-61, COLD, and what i just told u werks...Peace!

For fruiting 73 degrees is optimal.
