i fuckin love sigur ros! my one friend was so into them he mailed me a copy of their cd and it is really great. very mellow indeed. also, you have no idea what they're saying, and it's kinda cool that way. hopefully they never sell out and make an album in english.

i can't believe someone else has heard of this band... lol.

I wasnt expecting anyone to know about them here... Actually, as of two weeks ago i wouldnt have known them either. Got a definite good vibe down in their stuff. Do you know how many albums they have released?

They are amazing, no dout about that..

They are if you didn't know from my country Iceland. The language they speak is mostly Icelandic, but they also sing their own unique language so to speak.. Basicly some of what they sing is not language, but it all sounds very cool.

My roomate also knows one of the band, kind of neat to see them doing so incredibly well outside of Iceland and the UK.

they have two albums, i haven't heard the first one, but the second one got better reviews - if that means anything.

hooray that other people like this band!

funny that you should mention these guys. I'm sitting here right now having some tea, reading posts, and listening to them. If this is any indication of the music that the era of postdeconstructive rock is going to bring then I am very pleased. Intrinsic, insightful, full of hope and beauty, harmonies painted with disolusion.... what more can you ask for? =)
