The other schedule at least made some sense. Sleep has been shown not to be cumulative. Whenever test subjects have been kept up for long periods of time, they still only needed a normal 8 hours of sleep to recover. That you needn't make up your entire deficit when deprived has been one of the aspects of sleep that most intrigued researchers.

I thought he was all gung-ho about giving the 30 min. system at least 30 days before making any conclusions. Guess not.
