Losing time on shrooms?

So I gave my parents two carefully measured 2 gram doses, cautioning them that this batch was MUCH stronger than the last one, and not to discount it. You see, apparently my last batch (Creeper on BRF cakes) were ninja shrooms, and only I was sensitive to them. This batch was SA on WBS, cased with verm.
Of course they rolled their eyes and didn't listen to the warning. My mom called me today and said "Well, you almost killed your parents!" She was joking, of course, but what happened was this: She took the shrooms last night (after drinking, mind you,) and simply woke up at 5am fully clothed with shoes on and everything, under the covers in bed. She has no memory of what transpired. My dad had tried to wake her up but couldn't.
Normally I wouldn't worry about this and just chalk it up to taking too strong a dose, but since my parents are in their late 50's, I wonder if it's something to be concerned about. Has anyone else had missing time on shrooms?
They've learned their lesson, BTW, and will take a much smaller dose next time, minus the alcohol.

This has totally happened to me a few times...one time really sticks out though....
My girlfriend and I were at a festival. Sometime around nine in the evening we decided to each eat about 3 gr.
Shortly after we felt the effects we went for a stroll, hung out with some folks we knew, yada yada.
we made it back to the tent, and apparantly some kind of time warp. I swear we were only in there like half an hour tops. We were deciding whether to eat MORE mushies, or some mollie we had....ultimately we decided on the fungus, but it took us damn near four hours, since when we got out of the tent it was damn near 4:20am..
Somehow those 4 or five hours just up and disappeared....
Fun times, don't think I could handle that sort of thing these days though!

Yeah it is normal. Sometimes the shrooms can take your time and it is gone, gone, gone, and that is where you are to. No idea what happens. That is usually when the shroom disagrees with your style of life. Not fo sure though. People that are older are usually confused on psychedelics, as they tend to challenge their base of beliefs.

It sounds like you have cool parents!
Even though I have thought about giving my mother some shrooms to see what it would do to her brain cancer, she is goofy enough without any help.:)
I bet your mother just blacked out from taking to high of a dose, her brain must have just shutdown in a self defense mechanism. Just a opinion, I'm no doctor or anything.

Sorry to hear about your mom's condition, cutter.
Yeah, I figured she probably just took to high a dose to handle, combined with the alcohol. She was obviously functional and rational enough to climb into bed, at least, even if she didin't take her shoes off!

That was a funny story, Bama. Wouldn't you love to see a video of what you did during that time?
Mecreateme, I thought about what you said, and it could be true. I evened wondered if she had a spirit journey of some sort that she just couldn't fathom.

Alcohol before or during shrooms is never a good idea. One added substance which will take away from the trip and only make it potentially dangerous.

Darn those parents. They never listen, do they? I tried to get them to use responsibly, and what do they do? They go drinking on top of shrooms.

I know at one point we became completely lost in a two person dome tent....the glowsticks hanging inside didn't help matters.
I guess we behaved ourselves well enough, since no strange stories have surfaced.
Man, that was TOO MUCH fun!
