Whatever, I think Bill Hicks is hilarious. Sure, he may not be one of this centuries great thinkers but he has a lot of very evolved ideas. I'd rather listen to him than some religious figure any day.

The Bible goes over all of creation, even from day one ? but this does not give us EVERY SINGLE BLOODY answer.
Nor even a vaguely coherent set of answers.

I believe the Bible does two primary things: It causes you to either love or hate it
I neither love nor hate it, so your premise is false. I find it to be an interesting view of Hebrew history.

It certainly does not bring people together in a loving fashion. The Christians revile the Jews, The Protestants despise the Catholics, the Catholics are disgusted with Mormonism, The Jehovah's Witnesses don't even want to be considered with the other denominations, and the Fundamentalists look down on everybody.

Christians as a body, do not follow the basic tenets of their own religion and are some of the most judgemental, least-loving people (unless you are a member of the group) that I have ever met.
