This is ridiculous, its on channel 3 on my tv which is some major network... this show is based out of Seattle, absolute marketed religious tv.
There's a hot girl saying 'come out to wednesday service im there every week'
A young metrosexual pastor named judah smith yelling about "gods fun" until he's red in the face.
Shocked girls nodding their heads in mindless submission..
and catchy music behind inspirational god talks and text bible quotes.
some quotes: "i am a man of god, i am deadly",
"We arnt talking about holy, we are holy, yeah!"
"god is fun"..
anyone seen anything like this...?

just watching it makes me feel that maybe the US needs religion like this more than Canada. I dont think we even have evangalistic churches like this... Its so based in guilt, and control... literally every statement they say and how they tie it to the bible is sooo misleading.

I disagree. When a small child tells you about an imaginary friend, do you sit down and present him with a logical argument and scientific evidence to prove the contrary? No, because this is a waste of time, and the child would be hesitant to renounce his belief in said phantom even if you demonstrated its nonexistence right in front of his eyes.

The only thing religion is about these days is control of the masses. Sure, they masquerade it as "salvation", or the search for "the meaning of life", and all the ignorant lemmings follow that bullshit. It's just control, that's all it is.
I'm just surprised that in this day and age there are still teens that want to look up to "the good lord" and do his bidding. Hopefully it's just some fad that will die out soon when people realize religion is the biggest crock of shit ever sold.

The problem lies in the fact that Christians have never been quite satisifed by practicing their faith among themselves. i was getting a ride to work from this kid whose father was a pastor, and im not usually shy about my identity and associatiations but it would have broke his heart if he knew who i was. He was so mindlessly fucked up and absolutely brainwashed - nice enough (christian karma).. but his mind did not work, he was such a slave to the way he was raised and could not use rational or critical thinking ability at all what-so-ever.

Konrade, my issue with generation church is how Markted to the teen demographic it is - theyre assaulting your senses with a volcom/punk-esque webpage and major media presentation TV show...
Its not even a family or a personal thing anymore - there's christian rock/rap/reggea bands jammin out in churchs and they're trying to make god look cool, and completely obscuring the message into a clear method of dominence, fear and control.

No but if the problem persists on into the stage of life known as adulthood something is usually done about it.
What man who talks and converses and engages in actual fantastic relationships who is an adult isn't committed or put on anti psychotics.
Of course there is action taking against people who indulge in nonexistent playmates after the onset of puberty.

The anti christian sentiment in this thread is due in part because of the bible thumping cyclops and their propensity to organize, making it very difficult for non christians to live lawfully in America. For non christians to pursue their spirituality. Its an oppressive movement and it will wash over the land eventually if something isn't done to stymie the flow. Its a gradual phenomenon, much like the proverbial frog and the boiling pot of water.
