That can happen with a level one trip, or doses often considered to be even less. With a name like mushyhead420, id imagine you know what it feels like to some degree.

....tales of the inexpressable....
I don't know if words could do justice to what you are trying to understand.

Tasting music is the most vivid synesthesia ive ever experienced. Certain sounds would alter the taste in my mouth to either a more acidic, sour, sweet, or basic feel. It occured often on 2CE, however, I get it to a much more minor degree on shrooms.
Have you never seen music? THat would probably be the most common. When you hear a song (even being sober), do you not get a color or color spechtrum in your head? Well, take that and combine it with closed eyed visuals and there you go.

I know somebody who (one night) spit constantly whenever he saw certain colors, when we asked him why he said his whole mouth and nose would suddenly feel incredibly gross. He never said anything about it again and doesn't recall what it really felt like, but as far as i've ever seen that was the most insane mixing.

When i did 2c-i a few years ago: i was peaking, went downstairs to get something to eat/drink. My senses were very hightened, the ticking of the clock on the wall was the most vivid of anything in the room. I opened the door to the fridge and the cold air hit my face and side of my arm, i felt like these "cold spots" on my face and arm were openings (like the opening in your ear); i felt that the sound from the clock was being picked up by these cold spots. Difficult to explain, my ears were no longer the source for hearing sound, these "openings" on my face and arm were.

Thats really trippy man. Thats when tactile meets audio for ya.
When I used to be able to take massive doses of acid, I would see and hear and feel what I felt all over my skin,(crawling webs of of complex geometric patterns). Most drugs dont do this as well as acid or salvia(for me). Salvia for me makes the tactile hallucinations more of a concrete experience than any other drug. My body becomes the movement of the patterns.

Sounds awesome. I use to do alot of lsd myself, wasnt very good stuff (from what i was told from friends) but i never got anything like that. My senses and mind would be racing tho. For example someone would say the word "weed" or "pot" and id suddenly smell it; mostly connections between words and tastes. Nothing like tasting colors or shapes tho. I have seen music tho; rainbow vibrations coming off drum kits during concerts; an incredible site. 2c-i gave me the most profound synesthesia experiences and visuals, imo. My thought patterns (when my eyes were closed) became fractal, very vivid colors, almost comic-book type looking thoughts. Difficult to explain, but left some expereiences with me i find difficult to forget.

I don't think I ever saw music or tasted colors, I usually just seen shapes and patterns, and the music just seems like theme music, like I am in a movie.
If there is a strobe light on, then I would be in a old black and white movie.

What happens is that you associate the music, for example with some taste you once tasted. Or you "se" the music in colors that the music sugests you. It's a pretty subjective thing. Tour mind works in millions of directions that you don't even realise. That's called the subconscious, or the un conscious. You get the unconscious from ancestral memories. And the subconscious if formed, basically, from memories or information you've once learned but you don't really use it too often. These connections you're talking about come from out there.

a common one for me: shapes of arms and legs persist in vision and overlap. along the lines that emerge as artifacts when the overlapping shapes cross or become intensified like on the edges of the shapes of those body parts (or anything) welts seem to rise and you an feel them prickly sensitive on your skin the welts of edges become zippers. and you can taste the metal of them you can hear the sound of them unzipping and it feels awfully strange too as everything comes apart.

I recall once, flipping though random genres of music, and an industrial song felt like my back was being pricked with millions of really really sharp pins.
I turned the song off quickly, it physically hurt :P
