One suggests new strategy; a dirty nuclear bomb, organized military movements and generalized terror, hatred, greed, suffering, and last but not least, innocent victims in piles to rival Hilters successes.

Well OG was slow as dogshit anyhow. The growfaq was downloadable and I am sure someone has a zip file somewhere.

I'm pretty sure it didn't have anything to do with overgrow specifically. It was probably Heavens Stairgate and the seed business catering US citizens. My guess is that it was an US initiative in the lines of the the Emery case.

Canadian laws are different. According to Emery, in 1990 you couldn't even get away with publishing this stuff.

Overgrow, like this site, could be considered a wealth of evidence. Nobody keeps it hypothetical, if that matters anyway, and there are thousands of pictures along with it.

Seems that we always thought of canada as the more liberal place. Things were allowed to slide, but it doesn't seem that the sliding was based in law, only in action. When power shifts, there's just as much comfort room on the opposite end.

In .nl, pot is technically illegal, but overlooked. If a power came to charge that wanted to do away with it, under the current laws, I'm pretty sure they'd have no problem. I don't know much about it though, so I could be wrong.

exactly, they even have boarder potrol in which they can confiscate books which might be offensive, violent, etc.... overgrow talked specifically about something illegal, so they got canned for it.  there never was freedom of speech, its just that the laws were not inforced to their fullest. well they are now.

damn canadians

Don't think the good ol USA didn't have anything to do with it .

Why are shrooms legal in Jamaica but bud isn't ?

Because Americans weren't flying down there years ago bringing back shrooms . They were bringing back bud .

I spent some time there talking with some old politicians . They bacically told me years ago when this became a problem , the US told them to put some serious bud laws on the books or they would be treated like Cuba , no more US tourists .

Funny though , the laws are there , but not really enforced on "white" tourists . The Jamaicans know whats up though . They aren't going to hassle Americans over a little bud while they are visiting . They know if they do , the tourists come home , tell all their friends , and before you know it , the US tourists are going somewhere else .

Orwell was right...

--------------------
Our quest for discovery fuels our creativity in all fields, not just science. If we reached the end of the line, the human spirit would shrivel and die. But I don't think we will ever stand still: we shall increase in complexity, if not in depth, and shall always be the center on an expanding horizon of possibilities.
-Stephen Hawking

Orwell understood the sheeplike nature of people and the innate desire of decent people to avoid responsibility...

by not wanting to take any responsibility we leave the door wide open to the scumbags who care nothing for responsibility but see only power
for them to abuse...
