Childhood wisdom on social interactions
    #5260284 - 02/03/06 06:40 PM (17 years, 11 months ago)

The other day in the laundry mat a kid says to his sister at the end of a round of hide-n-go-seek, "stop finding me, keep looking for me".

In regards to social interactions, how true is this!?  In the midst of interaction you can say "aha! that's who you are, that's what you're about".  I found you!  All's fun and games until said person steps out of your find.  This route only leads to suffering.

Always searching but never finding, you have a person to share infinity with!  :crazy2:

p.s

the fun is found in the searching,  on the path,

I used to hate kids, you know, thought they were just useless little ignorant egocentric shitbags. Mostly because I didnt know how to act around them, so I just got pissed off. Mostly because I was just an overall an extremely ruthless person, offering nothing but contempt to everyone around me.

After I really calmed myself down though and got into meditation, psychedelics and just a positive outlook on life, I feel that my opinion changed dramatically. Kids are awesome! It's like they got a head full of acid at all times - wherein we set boundaries for ourselves of what we can or cannot do - kids break them with ease and a light touch. Where we try to use brute force, they break through with play and laughter.

Ever since then, I always try to think like a kid, because when you do that, your dreams become a reality.

I have moments in my life when I think - I remember - that, as a child, I somehow knew more then I know now. I has some insights from life (the ones I can remember) that turned out to be right. And other I can barely remember but I know I knew them right too. And somehow the society makes you forget this stuff.
Yeah, children knows a lot a stuff.

All this time I've missed you
And searched this human race
Here is true peace
Here my heart knows calm
Safe in your soul
Bathed in your sighs

IMHO kids are more intune with the flow that takes place during interaction.  I like what psyka says about this, "No thought. Pure interaction."  Most kids have yet to develope their shadow, but puberty is just around the corner.  Walking through the halls of an elementary school is completey different than walking through the halls of a middle school.
