Need advice RE: stuck in jars ?

Hello,
should have started out with wide mouth jars but a friend of a friend is using quart jars going for INVITRO. mycelium is almost full and won't be long before the little guys start popping out and wrapping around the jar.
here is a pic from the shroomery that shows the JAR SIZE

Once the shrooms grow, what is the best way to deal with this. Just wait until there are some big ones and break the jar? (and then rejar?) Or would it be best to get a knife and try to cut out part so it can come out to pick off aborts and put the cake back in?
Just looking for the best way to get the most shrooms, it is obviously too late to restart in wide mouth jars. Advice? Thanks shroomery

First, they shouldn't pin unless they are exposed to light, and a temp drop, so as long as your incubation chamber is dark and warm, you should be okay until complete colonization.
Second, you can setrilize utensils to get the mycelium out of the jar, I dip them in alcohol and then light on fire. You can also wrap utensils in aluminum and pressure cook them.
Thirdly, I would consider breaking up the mycelium, and casing it.
Did you use Brown rice flour, or a grain?

When you're ready to get them out, just bang the jar against a bicycle or car tire to break it up. Pour the contents into a dish and pick out the fruits. RR

was hoping to break it up inside and get some of the larger mush, then letting them grow back again in a few days or so and then break the glass open...
is that the way to get the most possible per jar? btw invitro.. not doing terrarinnn

I'd go with crumble and case, and BTW you don't need to break the jars, just crumble with sterilized utensils
