Syringes for LC Tek.
    #5259597 - 02/03/06 02:45 PM (17 years, 11 months ago)

I'm just going to sterilize and use the syringes that I got from Ralphster's Spores.

I was just wondering if the needle was a big enough gauge, so that I can suck up all the myc. I believe its an 18 gauge needle.

18 gauge should work fine. Wrap the syringe up with aluminum foil before sterilizing.

I just planned on doing that "suck up boiling water" thing for sterilizing my syringes. That would work, right?

True. I mean, I do have a PC. How long should I sterilize for in the PC?

when you make the LC make SURE to put a MARBLE or BROKEN GLASS in the jar  .  This will make your like a million times easier when using small guage needles.  I also suggest looking into making some lids a la agar, his "leakless LC lids" will make things a lot easier on you when you go to suck the LC solution into the syringe.

Thanks. I'm just going to try that simple LC Tek that Otto posted the other day. Looks simple and effective.

doing liquid in baby bottles is easy just mix the liquid as useal and stuff the nipple hole with polly fill. If you use the kind with the brown nipples they have a slight self healingness to them. to starilize just nuke it for two runs of 2min30secs total 5minutes then take it out and put the cap on asap. This was done three days ago and nocced up two days ago and seems to be working just fine.

the only prob I have with reusing syringes, is that about the 4th cleaning, the ink wears off.

etch on the lines with a small file or serrated knife, then go over them with marker.
