A question of my own spirituality

Recently I was tripping on 9 grams I believe, I know this was far to much (I am an inexperienced tripper). My question was during my trip I was going far deeper far faster then I had before.
I was taken to a place and shown a still image of each person tripping with me, with the backdrop of caves.. While this was happening and earlier in the trip also my whole vision seemed to be overlayed with a hihgly stylized image of a Lions face. Mane and everything. later as I was tripping it would switch between a real lion and the stylized one.
In the following weeks (its been a month i believe) as I lay down to sleep I see psuedo visuals. I see energy pulsing in the cieling, faces emerge and become heavily colored (dude its a rainbow..duuuuude). And the image of a lion comes back. Now every night before i go to sleep i have at least one image of it, the other night it was 40 minutes of visuals and images.
I was wondering if anyone else had any thoughts on this occurance. Thanks for you guys/ladies input.

Sometimes I have seen lions too.... not on shrooms though.
Maybe its your spirit animal? Anyway seeing things while going to bed is normal for people that just do a little bit of drugs, after doing 9 grams yeah I'd definitely say nothing to worry about.
Unless it bothers you.
Just watch the visuals while going to sleep and see if you can't figure out what they mean.
Other than that, I don't really know what you're asking.... but man that must have been a huge dose!

Om Namah Shivaya, I tell you What!

it was an accident kind of...I liked an eighth so I doubled my dose for double my fun...then someone didnt finish theirs and i finished that one also...
I'd like to think its my spirit animal, Also my spirit guide tried to introduce itself to me (i think, thats my interpretation of what happened, i was too deep to know what was happenening.) and i was very scared of it. So the recurring visuals I have been trying to find some speck of understanding in.
Im a dummy, that was two good doses and i wasted it and now i go without

its your pineal gland at work. sober visuals seem to come easier to a tired mind (someone said they had visuals after working out), but are not limited to a tired mind.. it comes down to perspective and imagination its an interesting learning experience to say the least..
ill leave it at that, PM me if you have any Qs..

after this trip, it sounds like your redefining your concept of reality outside of the social/human construct you've always known.
The lion is indifferent in itself - energy manifestations are different for everyone, i see geometries, shadows communicating with me in this reality but the same energy takes an alien physical form when i transcend this plane and go to there world (salvia + dmt..), natives see bears or eagles or hawks, shaman see's lions or snakes...
Anyways, in my experience's i put faith into my belief structures and always allow and embrace communication - although i dont take it as absolute truth.

A lion is certainly a good animal to identify with, far better than seeing visions of rats, or worms, or vultures.
I too experience the types of residual visuals you mention. Some say these result from psychedelics causing permanent damage to the mind, but I think there is something more subtle going on.
I can remember laying in bed when I was about three years old and seeing those visuals, I even learned to make them change colors. But as I grew older, I didn't see them anymore, until I was twenty four and began experimenting with mushrooms and LSD.
My theory is that these fluctuations on the edge of perception are always present, but the conscious mind is conditioned to ignore them. The decision is made early on, often from social pressure, that there is no information in these images, and they should be ignored. The use of psychedelics bypasses the conditioning, and once we come down we remember that we can see these things again.
This is one of the ways in which psychedelics will change you forever. The interesting question is whether or not there is information in the visuals. I believe that sometimes there is, and sometimes there is not. When they contain information, it is a Vision; when there is no information, it is merely a hallucination.

Thank you all for your input.
Interestingly i think that krish's and shroomydan's beleifs could overlap. The exhaustion you feel at night strips away the societal conditioning to not regard the pineal workings. Becuase of this you enjoy those visuals which you remember from your childhood (i certainly dont remember that young)
PDU I do feel as though my understanding of the social human contrust has altered recently. I have been more at peace with people who I have quarrelled with before and am feeling more alive in other areas of my life.

Physically the Green Lion was usually a name for vitriol, or the sulphuric acid created by distilling the green crystals of iron sulphate in a flask. Iron sulphate was formed when iron ores rich in sulphides were left to oxidise in the air, so was readily available to medieval alchemists. The sharp penetrating sulphuric acid could create major chemical changes in many materials even to the extent of dissolving metals like iron, and copper. The Green Lion could also be the nitric acid formed from heating saltpeter or nitre and iron sulphate. Nitric acid when mixed with the acid derived from common salt, hydrochloric acid, produced aqua regia, a greenish tinged liquid that could dissolve even the noble metal gold. The Green Lion devouring the sun is a famous image in alchemy being depicted in many manuscripts and engravings, and can be thought of as aqua regia dissolving the solar gold and forming a solution which could readily tinge metals with gold.
To other alchemists who worked primarily with vegetable matter and processes, rather than the mineral work, the Green Lion was an image of the green raw energy of nature, "the green fuse which drives the flower" as Dylan Thomas elegantly expressed it in one of his poems. Here the Green Lion which devours the sun is the green pigment chlorophyll. The green leaves of the plant are formed out of the energy of sunlight. Alchemists often attempted to create living processes in their flasks and looked especially for precipitates or crystallisations which resembled leaves or plant forms. The Green Lion here could be a plant sap extract which was often the prima materia for their alchemical work. The Gryphon, half-eagle and half-lion, was sometimes associated with the end of this stage. The eagle nature of the Gryphon gave this hybrid being an ability to ascend in the flask, so it marked, in a sense, the spiritualisation of the Green Lion.
