Spanwed Poo Question

I feel bad for asking so many questions, and not submitting as many answers, but I have a couple of questions. I peeked again at my friends 9x12x6 poo trays spawned with wbs. The top is covered nearly 80% with pure white fluff and some rhizos growing straight up like little white trees. I know you would like to see a pic, but my friend is very paranoid. The rhizos look fine, as well as the majority of the myc. There is a bit of fluffy myc, will that grow more ropey over time? Anyway, this is day 4 after being spawned, and it has not been cased. What is a good indication to case?

the rope rhizomorphic mycelium is what fruits better. cottony mycelium wil not change to rhizomorphic.
i would case now. i usually case when i make the casing.

this is 4 days after being spawned? that means you have another 10 before pasteurization expires if pasteurization time was near spawning time.
wait til the top is fully colonized. maybe a little longer if you have any reason to believe the other portions might not be done.
the cottony shit will not go to ropey myc, but the ropey myc will outgrow the cottony shit my a mile. letting it go to a full thick cover should give time for the ratio of rope to cotton to shift more towards rope.
wait til you have that shit completely colonized and then case it.
you have just gotten conflicting opinions. either way will probably be fine.

IMO i would wait till 100%, before you case.. on average its about 7-10 days to colonize. you have it at 70-75 degree range for incubation??

I am not lost.. i am going there looking for it.. and when i get there and find it, i will know what it is.. "yes i want to hear what my mind has to say..." remember opions are like assholes, everyone has one and they all stink.

Room temp is 72f, and the temp underneat the bottom of the pan is at ~76f. I don't mind until it is more colonized as long as it is safe. But this is the first time I have ran across info on the pasturization expiring. And if I have 10 days left, and if it keeps growing like it has been, it should be super-colonized by then. I was going to wait a full 7 days, then case, but when I seen the little pieces of forked mycelium growing straight up, I didn't know what to do and thought I would see what you guys thought. Thanks

i would not necessarily wait 10 more days. just watch it.

Seeing how there are two casings that are so far consistent in this race (neck in neck) I guess this would be a good point to case on earlier than the other and see what works best for my friend..

wait til the horse poo is fully colonized...
then put a casing layer on it.
