whats a better medium for liquid cultures, karo or honey? and what are the benefits of each?

some people think that kero is les pure than some honeys. try both i mean shit your not lossing much 2-4cc's spores and 400ml water 48-36hrs tempeary loss of the use of two jars. 6$ is about all that you will lose if you deside you dont like one.

I've used them both, and I like honey. Now, with that out of the way... A lot of people like the Karo Light because it is clear, and it is easier to spot contams. DON'T get Karo Dark. It's like trying to see through mud. Honey has the benefit of actually having antibacterial properties and can fight off some bacterial contams through plasmolysis. It's pretty much a preferrence thing. Karo's composition is more consistent, whereas honey has more nutes (38% Fructose, 31% Glucose). Honey can have residual spores from floral sources, but if your PCing, it doesn't really matter. The best (and not on your list) is probably a malt/dextrose mix. Honey/karo's simple and cheap. Shit man, now I'm confused.

I use honey. You can have a viable culture in 2 days.
