Ok ok i know this is probaley easy question but can you grow Pans on cakes? I mean i dont see any reason why not but everytime i see a pic of Pans growing in a setup, it always is growing on dung. Are cakes a promblem with Pans?

the humidity cakes require doesn't do well for pan fruit body development, you need a casing layer to keep from drying the substrate with the air exchange you need to grow good pans

plus the fact that they need to fruit off of dung which would require you to make up poo jars. Blue helix has a great method using LC's and spawn bags to produce great cyan substrate.

So you could actually make dung cakes that Pan Cyans would grow on and still fruit pretty well?

no, don't fruit them as cakes, break them up and use a really conservative spawn ratio

You can make modified cakes and fruit right out of the container. THESE CONTAINERS work very well...
