this is my first grow and the only 2 cakes i've fruited have gotten green mold. the first one had it bad and i just tossed it out. this one has just a small spot. is there an alright chance that it could make it if i cut out the green spot with a sterilized knife and then spray it with water/h202?

somewhere on this site I saw something about cutting the spot out and using regular salt, maybe try searching and see if you find it. In the past I have tried the h2o/h202 thing, but for me it didnt work.
Good luck

Make sure that when you cut it out, that you cut out a significant portion otherwise the green mold might come back.

Toss it. Only the spores are green, the mold is white. The chances of success are 99 to 1 against you. Next time, have better air exchange. Trichoderma requires stale, damp air to grow. RR

There is no reason or need to filter air entering a fruiting chamber. Simply cut holes and leave them open, or leave the lid crooked so you get constant air exchange. RR
