Hawks Eye Substrate Problem

i just recently purchased some spores from the hawks eye,two thailand strains and a b+ strain.I used a hawks eye substrate for people who dont have pressure cookers and every jar i inoculated was contaminated except for two.I have been growing mushrooms for a decent amount of time and never have i had any probelms like this.Also the two b+ that survived turned out to be very small.And is it true b+ are a wood loving strain? thanx for all the help

I would probably suggest that you post this over in the vendors forum so ryche hawk can see it.

If you would like for me to move it over to that forum please post below and I will do so. It would be better to move this one there then add another post so please post here if you would like it moved instead of starting another thread. It's perfectly fine if you would like to leave it here though.

B+ doesnt like wood just like any other cube.

A pressure cooker is a very good idea when using this substrate..how long did you pastuerize for?

just as long as i do every other time,about an hour and twenty or thirty.i have never had this problem except for with this substrate.
