I just missed the bus to my temp job so I called in. it was supposed to be my first day. haha. so now I want to spend the day getting drunk & periodically brushing my teeth and applying for jobs in the 'hood.

What was the temp job? I'm still a lowly temp...working my way up towards conversion though!

It was some 8-day project doing a mass mailing for a cancer research institute. I'm not too worried about losing the opportunity, though I could have really used that money to buy an iPod & cell phone.
google hasn't hired you full time yet huh?

You have to work at LEAST 6 months as a temp before they'll even begin the conversion process. My supervisor is just starting his 8th month here and just started the conversion process.

Do your lips get chapped as well the day after you drink wine?
Good morning to everyone! I only have one class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but I work from 11 until 8 today. Since it's Thirsty Thursday, I assume I'll celebrate after work.

horribly so. i've got a habit of chewing on my bottom lip whilst drunk, as well - so a night of red wine results in a morning of wine-stained chapped lips. i managed to wash most of it off, but i can never completely hide it. i figure it is just my "holy jesus how i love red wine!" badge of honor
