Ghandi, MLK and the internet

Hunger strikes, boycotts, peaceful protests...
What would Ghandi or Martin Luther King do, if they wanted to CHANGE the way a website worked?
How could it be done peacefully, or can it be done at all?
Does the internet obstruct one's ability to protest?
Currently, in this forum, people have been denied the right to discuss the MOST OBVIOUS PROBLEMS facing this forum. Without a place to vent, I'm sure the Mods here have noticed... the emotions only fester... they don't go away. This causes problems that often end in ban.
I'm sure we ALL wish to curb this.
I invite everybody who wishes to discuss their P&S forum related grievances... to my journal. You can discuss ANYTHING you want, and I won't ban you from The Shroomery, for saying what you think.
I figure, COMMUNICATION is the best place to start.
How can things heal, when people are still being banned whenever they mention the BIG WHITE ELEPHANT in this room?
I suggest this:
Don't discuss ELEPHANTS in here... it is not the place. But those that NEED a place to discuss this stuff, come to my journal instead. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/5253632/an/0/page/0
Mods, you too... come on in. Let's talk somewhere where there are no winners, loosers or bans.
In fact, I suggest this to the P&S Mods:
Instead of banning or warning someone who talks about something that CAN'T be discussed in here... for whatever reason... LOCK THEIR THREAD, and send them to MY JOURNAL. Then if they keep posting inappropriately in P&S... take whatever action you see fit. At least you gave them somewhere else to go and VENT.
Otherwise you'll just be using brute force, without first looking for peaceful understanding... and fewer bans.
Ghandi and MLK it is not... but it is a start. Any further suggestions?

I was going to start a "Vent and discuss" thread and sticky it...but thats going to be somewhat a hassle. Not to mention wrong forum.
This sounds like a great idea to me.

Well, gee, uh...why couldn't Icelander's thread be a "Vent and Discuss" thread?

Ice's may still be that thread.
But if it goes wrong, as such threads often do (and remember REAL NAMES HAVE NOT BEEN USED in his thread) we have a punnishment free zone.

Can this thread be stickied for a bit?
Not too long, just a day or two?

some causes save lives and make a real difference for millions of people.
is what goes on here that type of scale?
please don't take it too seriously, a good poker player likes a good game. Sometimes he takes a risk when he bluffs. sometimes it is not in the cards or the opponents to fold.
we could be in someone else's psychodrama on this matter. or maybe just a card game.

" Danger Will Robinson"
If the mods and admin are not acting in good faith. At best they will use your journal to isolate and identify those who oppose their dumbing down and controlling of the forums.

Please. keep any discussion about P&S drama in my journal.
Otherwise, if today is any indication... you could get an offical warning.
Keep it clean.
Otherwise, post at your own risk.
