Im wondering if i will be ok on not gettin caught by my parents, i know that i just shouldnt trip with my parents in the house, but its my only choice because unfortunatly i still live with them... anyways, I will be taking an 8th of dried... and to see my (sleeping) parents i would have to go through my door, down my stairs, through my living room, through the kitchen, down a hallway, up a flight of stairs and open their door... so would you say im in danger of being caught? they are pretty deep sleepers and it would be around mid-night.. in all its about a 75 yrd distance....THANKS!

I'm having dejavu :P
My advice, would to not do it at home.
However, if you have no choice - I think you should be allright, especially if they are deep sleepers. If you are reasonably sure that you wont need to deal with them (ie: they dont normally come to say goodnight to you or whatever, and let you do your own thing without many questions) - then it'd be OK.
Just keep an eye on the volume of your music/etc as to not wake them up.
and an 1/8th is what, 3.5 grams? For me atleast, thats not much, and I'm fully aware/in control of what I'm doing. The biggest risk would be not keeping track of the volume of my music and cranking it up loud and getting into it.
I find that if anything, if a trip is going strong, and I am in a comfortable enviroment where I can relax, I'll tend to just curl up, put on my walkman, close my eyes and not make much sound at all. I've actually had people tap on my shoulder and ask me if I'm OK because I am being so quiet/still during the trip.

well man to tell you the truth. I think its a bad idea. I mean psychedelics can really hurt your mind. You might be normal now, but what happens if you have a hellish trip, get paranoiad out of your mind and then the next day you still feel a little paranoid. Then after that you get anxious all the time.
I mean, sure it wont happen to everyone, but you have to be carefull, a single experience can change your mental state. The mind is fragile.
I say just wait till you can be in a comfortable setting, that is unless you already took them, if so good luck.

someone asked this same question, exccept about lsd, today. check for my response there. also, an 1/8 of mushies can be a lot, if the mushies are good. I would start with a half 1/8, its better to under-dose yourself then over.

Well I wouldn't totally recommend it because just the possibility of them coming in can sometimes sketch you out. But in all honesty I doubt they will hear you. I have done them in my room which is literally 20 feet from my parent's bedroom, but it really sucks having to stay super quiet and not being able to go take a walk outside for fear of waking them up, which is why I am just waiting until I move out, or will trip at a buddies house if its more laxed.

It just isn't any damn fun. What are the key factors with tripping?
Set, setting. You could easily spend the entire time curled up in the ball, scared that the slightest thing you do will alert your parents, whether it is rational thinking or not. Then again, you could be fine?
But the way I see it, the best possible situation comes no where near the worst possible situation. Best: Have a great, quiet trip just listening to some music. Worst: There was one long time shroomery member. (can't remember who, but he's probably still around) He was well experienced, but one day while tripping he got in a huge confrontation with his parents, leading to him flipping out, punching a wall, and getting the cops called/ending up in a hospital.
To me, it wouldn't even be too ideal a trip if everything went down without a hitch. Throw in the possibilities and no way.

I once spent a trip under a blanket rolling around on my floor. I'd then pull down the blanket wondering why I was under a desk.
It was an interesting trip - I cant explain why, but rolling around on the floor under a blanket just felt REALLY REALLY good.
My body was just all wonky, and sitting normally just didnt feel right, so the constant movement of just kind of flopping on the floor just seemed to do the trick.
