Experimental Subrstrate!

Hey all you fellow mushrooms cultivators! What is up in tv land? I don't know about you but it is friday night and I have nothing to do. SO I think to myself, "What can I do tonight?" My answer, " Hey how about you have fun with your brand new hobby, gorwing shrooms!" So I have decided to tear apart a cake or so and destroy it in the name of science! I am going to make a bunch of different substrate from whatever i can find! Cereal, top raman, whatever i can find. So if anyone has any ideas, please put them reply to this and put them up. No matter how wierd! Science needs such things, experimentation is how you get things done ;-)

As aside note, for those of you who have seen my desparate cry for help with pinning I finally got some! I put my cakes on some smaller dishes with vermiculate and boom! I see one big guy starring right back at me. I notice that it is only going on one cake. It is the most developed cake, but it is also nearest to my humidification, does this mean i need more humidification?

hi there... my wookie friend is doing some experiments with new substrates... once he was in trance and went like a zombie outside, collected some dried sugar cane straw and some grass(Cymbopogon citratus), choped it up, pasteurized and innoculated with a fully colonized pint cake (crumbled). after 6 days it is almost 100% colonized with no visible contamination. i think it was Nomi's Cubensis Method that made him do that... definitely worth a try, he says. ;)
