Waterpipe/Bong Question (THC & boiling point)

Though I haven't smoked bud for nearly 3 years now (except once in a blue moon) I have always had a question about a seemingly crucial error of bong mechanics that seems to have no ill effects. I'm confused becasue I know that the boiling point of THC (or when it becomes a vapor, duh) is ~400 degrees F and if the smoke passes through the cool water, why doesn't this cool down the air bubble to a point where the vaporized THC liquidizes and ceizes the rises up into the column? I know there's someone out there who knows the answer (not a guess)...I just hope the view a forum about a bong question...

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the temperature where THC vapor turns into a liquid is very very low. The water in your bong is not even less than 32F, even if it's packed full of ice.

This confuses me as I thought most compounds have set freezing/boiling points. For instance, whenever below 32 F, water is solid, above it is a liquid, and if it reaches 180 it will exist as a gas. Of course unless it is under pressure. I thought the THC molecule might bond to smoke particles after combustion, perhaps THC changes in molecular structure when the bud is burnt.... I have no clue.
Someone, help me!!!!

Thanks a lot, DNKYD... that answers my question.
I guess after vaporization, the particles of liquid THC are so scaterred having just been in gas form that it takes a considerable amount of time for the THC to find their friends and condense...yada yada yada
