Cuz He's the Transporter
    #5244808 - 01/30/06 11:38 PM (18 years, 2 months ago)

Did anybody see Transporter 2?  I really liked the first one.  Yes it was terrible and unrealistic, but it was cool at the same time.

I just finished watching the second one...goddamn was it terrible.  It was just soo bad.  I was expecting some cheese like the first one, but this one was just out of control.  There were so many letdowns with this movie.  The action scenes were actually too unrealistic for me.  One scene, there is a bomb strapped to the bottom of his car and he drives over a ramp, the car sails through the air, rotates, and luckily, somehow, a crane is there and hits the bomb perfectly, knocking it off the car, the bomb explodes and the car completes its rotation and lands perfectly.  Another one, the transporter drives through a concrete barrier, flys through the air, lands in a parking garage, and there is not a scratch on the car. :whatever:

It was rediculous.

I couldn't wait for it to be over.  Damn sequels.

I seriously just laughed out loud.  Did they actually make a scene that unrealistic?

That was exactly how they made it look.

Yes they did.

Or how about where he jumps through the window, grabs the antidote, flips his body around in mid air, lands on his back on top of a car, crushes the car. Gets up and runs off.

How about when he punches two guys with two halves of a watermelon and the watermelon pieces don't break.

How about the jetski scene, where he jumps the jetski up from the water, on to the street and the jetski "drives" down the street after the car?

Or how about when the transporter is about to be sandwiched between two cars about to collide at highspeed, yet he jumps up in the air, about 7-8 feet, spreads his legs like a cheerleader and comes back down landing with each foot on each hood of the two cars?

Hahahaha. It was like they weren't even trying. Boooo!

I really like action movies.  Maybe it's because I'm a guy and I like to watch stuff blow up.

I am willing to suspend my reason for 2 hours and be mindlessly entertained by some badass guy kicking some butt.  But, there comes a point when some movies can become too damn unrealistic.  It sounds like Transporter 2 falls into that category.

I agree, one of my favorite movies of all time is The Rock.  Now that is how to make an action movie!

No, it wasn't even cool at the same time.

It was such a horrible film that any novelty it may have had was sucked into the vacuous plot holes.

The hose fight was the coolest part, but they really hacked that movie to death.
I loved the first one too!

Oh yeah, I forgot about that part.

I actually thought that part was rather cool. Overdone, but it was amusing.
