After 1 year of use I ran into problems this winter. Due to very cold outside temperatures, the air inside the house is very dry. Since the walls of the Antonius are air permeable to some extent, the humidifier coudn?t humidify the system anymore to the high 90es level.
What I did was I took some translucent plastic sheets and covered the inside of Antonius with a layer.
Now the humidity is again where it should be.

Beautifull setup, looks very compact, yet holds alot. I just ordered a syringe of Panaeolus cyanescens Florida strain, I can't wait to start growing them, although this would be my first attempt at this species, do you have anything that you could reccommend. I also ordered 4 of those myco environment bags from sporeworks, they look promising, I also got a syringe of Golden teacher from them. Thanks and nice work.

>do you have anything that you could reccommend. For a syringe probably the best thing would be to use the "all in one substrate" in cake form. Read this: http://www.shroomery.org/faq/faq.php?display=faq&nr=184&catnr=37&prog=1&lang=en&onlynewfaq=0

Thanks, I have already read it, I think I will do both and outside and an inside grow. Wait till the bags are colonized, and spawn and outdoor bed with 2 bags, and the other 2 indoor, prolly case them. How much more potent would you say these are compared to cubes?

Double the potency. But the yield is lower.

Usually every couple of weeks, or immediately if I have a contaminated casing or similar.
I just wipe the surfaces with a mild bleach solution.

resin, i got mine at IKEA for about $70 USD (frame, baskets, cover, wheels) :\. It's quite expensive in the US, but I'm takig Anno's advice and hoping that it works.
Unfortunately, they discontinued the white translucent cover and gave you a grey, more opaque cover instead. It's very hard to put this cover on, and I suggest that you let IKEA do it for you.
To solve the dark cover problem I'm going to experiment with blue xmas lights strung around inside. I hope that will do the trick.
I'll keep anyone who's interested updated.

I was just wondering what the length and width measurements are on that thing, its there a website you could possibly direct me to? I've been searching around and just found the height measurement.

well, i copied anno in that i bought an antonius. i already had the humidifier and a previous entrainment system but this antonius looked suitable for my space. now, this same antonius is available at home depot for 189$. what a rip!!!!!!!!thanks for this post anno, owe you one!!!! unfortunately, they stopped making the clear plastic zipper coverings. so i used a little 4mm clear plastic, a glue gun, and some velcro. here is a pic of it.

I looked on ikea's site and it's very confusing and none of the antonius products seem to be what i'm looking for. The section I found has individual components like the shelves, but I didnt see anything pricing. Does someone have a link to someplace I can buy one of these? There isn't an ikea near me so that kinda sucks. Thanks

I've been building one of these for about 2 weeks now.
I found a rack thats gr8t but couldn't find a covered one that I liked.
Heres what I did I found some nice thick shower curtains I got a heavy duty needle for a sewing maching and stiched everthing together. I'm not gr8t at it so when I finished stiching it up I applyed goop sealant to the seams. I used fishing line as thread. I have not finished this yet because I lack the ability to sew on the zippers. Thats going to be the part that has stress applyed to it so I figured I would get some who can do it better than I can to do this for me.

>Anno, how thick is the hose attached to the vicks cool mist? 1/2 inch
>Did you have to cut it? If so, with what type of cutting device? The hose? Cut the hose? Sure, I cut it with a knife to be only 4 feet long.
>Also, is there a timer on the cool mist unit? Yes. 10 minutes every 2 hours except for night(from 11 PM to 7 AM where it?s off.
> How else could you ensure that it's not over humidifying the air? Don?t know.
>How often do you fill the vicks with water and how much does it hold? Around 1 time a month and it holds around 6 quarts of water.
