Spores to Syringe nice and clean

Here's what I do:

- Take a fresh cap with a tootpick through the top and put it in a small jar with a small hole punched in the top, covered in tape.

- Let sit for 24 hours

- Take out cap by toothpick, take pre sterilized syringes/water, squirt desired amount of water in through the hole (I usually use enough for 2-3 syringes)

- Mix well and suck

Nice and easy... I believe I got this tek from somewhere a while ago but I was unable to find where it came from. I think the good thing about this is that the spore print is exposed to air only when you remove the cap from the jar.. lowering the chance of contamination.

No you cannot get spores from a dried mushroom and if you can its likely contaminated. You may have success with cloning a dried one and transferring it to agar. Cheers and good luck -ThELostBoys
