So I decided to give this a try.
So 200ml of water, a teaspoon of honey and now it is in my PC. However the water was much lighter than in the original picture.
So what is the average time to see some growth from a spore print?

1 - 2 weeks depending on the temerature. At ideal temps, you should get growth within a week.

hehe, still quite a while but if it works then that is awesome. How often should I "stir" it?
Been having issues with getting spores to germinate on agar, although using agar to clone and such has been working wonderfully!

Thanks for this Otto, I've been thinking about growing fungi for ages but have been put off by the hassle of a sterile method. I have a spore syringe of Oysters on the way now and hopefully that'll be the only one I'll ever need to buy.
Cheers!

I use the same jar except with a SHIP and it's fire/chilli cheese dip instead of salsa.

Bump bump bumpity fucking bump. This is exactly what I've been searching for, only difference in what I'm going to do ( after I do a couple this way to make sure the basics are in tune) is using stem tussues to clone.
Thanks again
Did I mention BUMP!!

I've got a few of these simple honey LCs kicking around. There just so easy to make. I throw a couple in the PC when I'm sterilizing agar or syringes and I have the extra room. I just made a test plate with one that had been sitting at room temperature for several months and I got nice clean growth verry quickly.
