i still keep forgetting to try it. next time im able to spawn im going for it. although i normally get subs colonized in 4 days without it. so i wonder if it would be faster than that. the supercake and coffee i add speeds things up!
is that a coffee filter liner or something in that picture?

Just a light duty trash bag for bathroom garbages. Just something to keep the tray intact

After reading tons of horror stories on LC I've always been turned off by it…Although after reading this thread I think I'll give it a go! Have some Malabar and PE that I'd absolutely love some LC of. Thank you OttO, Azur, and Eatyu!

LC FTW The horror stories you heard are only from folks that don't know what they're doing. Don't be scared.

Once I had a jar with the top grains all taken over by penicillin that worked through the filter. Just scraped them off outside, brought it back in and spawned. Was one of my best looking trays ever, I shoulda taken pics

His jar was taken over by penicillium. I wonder if you are allergic to penicillin, would you be to penicillium too?

Generally, I don't think so. There are 300 species of it, and I can eat the fuck out of blue cheese. I think it has to be one of the antibiotic forms.
