Okay well if its not mycelium and it is in fact sediment. I don't think there is any other type of growth taking place inside the jar... Is it possible that nothing has grown? Like I said previously I cant see any obvious contams.
Can nothing grow?

Store it in the trash, LC sucks. Choose a method that's likely to work.

Store it in the fridge if you want it to slow/stop growing. Or you can just store it on shelf with your other jars and let it grow as much as it can. But since you are asking im assuming you want the fridge.
Also i would knock up a jar or 3 to test the LC.
Also Doc_T has a point LC are a gamble since you don't know if they are good till they are tested. GLC (Grain Liquid Culture) is a better way to go if you must do LC. However G2G cant be beat for speed :P

thnaks for the info, tongiht im going to knock up some rye berries with a piece of cake and i figure since its jusst honey and water i might as well give it a shot with with another piece of cake, once the grain is colonized il be doing the GLC, i figure i should try to try everyhting atleast once

No point in going LC->grain->GLC. Think about what you're doing there.

cake to grain to GLC
Might work, but it's the same exact procedure to take a cake sample to agar as to put it into grains. From the agar you could then grow it on grains for GLC, or just drop an agar wedge into a malt LC jar. LC from agar is way less sketchy than LC from spores.

cake to LC
Again, might work. Somewhat less likely than cake->grain, imho.
But all of this cake slicing is good practice for tissue cloning. People sometimes use LC for cloning. I never did get that to work, but it's cheap to try. Tissue->grain has worked for me, and of course agar is the standard method. So whether it works or not it's probably useful, but please understand the risk and the the LCs.

Yup I tried this tek from a known working spore syringe with no success. It looked alright. Whispy white mycelium in the water. But when I tried to 'noc up a jar with it.. No success. It didn't contam.. it didn't grow anything. Seems like this tek has a small element of luck as some are successful and some are not. Maybe the type of honey matters.

Get the kind of honey that comes in a plastic bear.
But malt is better. Plus if you have malt, you can make agar as well as LC.

Should've got some malt! Will do next time. I'm ready to try another LC. Just made my first syringes from my own spore print. Will know in a couple days if it was successful. I have no flowhood or glovebox so it's a little tricky everything I do I have to be extra careful. I 'noc up jars and do work over my oven with the door open lol. Works really well so far.

I have the type of malt that you would put in a milkshake, and its just malt, no dairy. Can I use this successfully?
Also, I have the same sterilizing challenges you have --no flow hood, etc. When I'm noc'ing a bag, I steam up the bathroom really well since tams are much less likely in that heavy atmosphere. For injecting individual jars, I take a fresh clear produce bag from the local market, add a cotton ball soaked in alcohol or weak bleach and use that as a mini glove box. Pre-flame your needle if you do this with alcohol of course! I tried making an lc from a 3 month old portabello syringe with no luck, but no tams either, not sure why the spores did nothing...

no, that "malt" isnt the same, hes talking about brewers malt (LME) or light malt extract used in agar mixes or brewing beer. its just a better source of carbs than super sweet sugars like honey or karo.
