Hey guys, I feel like a broken record here, but quit hating on the LC's... Yes, I agree - the best way to start an LC with confidence, is with an agar wedge.

But this wasn't written with that in mind, its just supposed to be a really basic tek in order to appeal to newcomers who may be partially interested/nervous starters to the hobby, without much equipment, in the hope that it sparks some success and interest to encourage people to pursue it further.

I used LC's for many many years, with spores and core biopsies for cloning and had a very very high success rate. I never nocced up huge batches, so never bothered doing test jars and without a lie I honestly had close to 100%, very rarely did I get a contamination.

Thanks - now back to your regularly shceduled shroomery....

The thing is this tek is kinda not the greatest.  A lot of people have contam problems with lc so if you are going to do it you should do it with the right stuff a pc injections ports.

Indeed. A pressure cooker will make this soooooo much easier. And definitely do a search on silicone self healing injection ports.

Does this ratio look correct..

300 ml. Of water To  1 -  1/2 teaspoons of honey¿

also.. Could one inoculate  this honey l.c. with a combination of m.s. From a print and live tissue from the inside of the stem.

LCs from spores are sketchy as it is.

Adding tissue just adds more vectors for contams.

Maybe I'll just drink the honey water.lol. No - really though. I don't have agar . I prepared the solution already. I'm just wondering if i could innoc. With a combination of both spores an tissue. With succes . I'm aware it can fail.

Sure you can, but why not just use the tissue?

Why even use spores?

The spores will take at least a few days to germinate and show growth, but the tissue is live mycellium.

It will start growing right away.

update :
Its been 11 hours since inoculation.. >live tissue was used«
Solution went from clearer to cloudy "when shaken" in a 5 Hour span.
Fragments of tissue everywhere. Temp is kept at constant 81°f .

Note: this experiment was conducted under a glove box.
So I'm almost certain i will succeed in having a sterile honey l.c. .inside a
salsa jar.

I'm the biggest fan of liquid cultures. I've had two out of over a hundred contaminate and I was able to see those in the liquid. I find them to be much easier and faster than g2g.

By the time your LC colonizes and your test jars are shot up and grown, I can have 100 quart jars just about fully colonized in the same amount of time via G2G transfers.

LCs save no time....it just adds another step and more risk of contams.

I will never touch a syringe again....agar and G2G FTW!

Heyyy nota I'm thinking that your comments are right on the money. Lol. L.c. Can take some time.but  its been 6 days. And i still see faint cloudy color to the l.c. ."when not shaken"... Are honey l.c.'s clear?
There is plenty of bits of what appears to be mycelium balls.
Should i give it one more week to see if clears. Or just test it.
