spacechildo said: well, I agree with bodhi. new growers always/most of the times go spores to LC with their poor sterile techniques, and if you wanna do things right you dont have time to wait for the LC to colonize, test it and then go inoculate and save a couple days on the master. my g2g sessions will be far ahead anyway!
they can be good for species that's harder to do than cubes, or species that dont like shaking that well.
g2g is where it's at for me. LI seems titillating but I cant find a proper blender for it. (yet).
Have you seen the updated blender options in my LI tek?

LI is made with non nutritional sterilised water and is use immediately after it is made. So it doesn't give contams a chance to grow.

Cool. I have a honey LC that I inoculated with an enoki wedge a while ago and just picked up some 60cc syringes last weekend. I put some broken glass in the LC jar so it should be easy enough to break up.

My enoki LC got direct sun light for most of the day while it was colonising and it did fine.

true dat. I've seen a lot of horrible looking spawn jars and bulk subs but that doesn't keep me from spawning to bulk.

Absolutely. That doesn't just go for growing mushrooms. The simplest solution to any problem is generally the correct one.

No if you try to freeze an LC you will kill it.

I've got a few of these simple honey LCs kicking around. There just so easy to make. I throw a couple in the PC when I'm sterilizing agar or syringes and I have the extra room. I just made a test plate with one that had been sitting at room temperature for several months and I got nice clean growth verry quickly.

I've never workaday out the percentages. I don't measure anything anymore. A drop of honey for about 400ml of water is what I use.

1 table spoon per 250ml is 5.9% you jumped a decimal point there.

I just spent the last hour searching my old lap top for tek pix. I'm almost done uploading them all and I will be fixing my bottle and LI teks with updated OPs.

I had planned on leaving for good. I wanted to leave as little trace of MudaFuka as possible. unfortunately this place isn't that easy to leave. I keep trying but I never get far.
I printed paper copies of my LI and bottle teks before I deleted them. They both needed updating anyway. I made a few changes to the LI tek and the bottle tek is getting a complete rewrite. I'm making a batch of bottles right now so I can take fresh pictures for the update.

It depends on how big the jar is. The tek doesn't specify. a 1/2 pint jar holds 250cc. Use less than a cc of spore solution per jar. A single drop is all you need.
